Meet Mathieu Aliche – Europe Whisky Ambassador, Elixir Distillers

After an early career in finance and social media, Mathieu decided at 31 to start over and follow his true passion: whisky. He trained behind the bar, first in Paris — including at the Golden Promise — and later in London, before becoming France Brand Ambassador for Laphroaig.

In June 2025, he joined Elixir Distillers as Europe Whisky Ambassador.

For his very first masterclass in the Netherlands, Mathieu will take you on a journey through some of the very best whiskies Scotland has to offer — from Tormore in Speyside to Ben Nevis in the Highlands, all the way down to Port Askaig on Islay.
