The Botanist is crafted in small batches using a traditional copper pot still named “Ugly Betty.” This slow, meticulous distillation process allows each botanical’s full flavor spectrum to develop. The gin includes juniper, coriander, and angelica root, blended with 22 local botanicals. These include apple mint, bog myrtle, chamomile, heather, and thyme, hand-picked from Islay’s hills, peat bogs, and shores.
