Nuestra Soledad Matatlán

Nuestra Soledad Matatlán is an artisanal single village mezcal from Santiago Matatlán, often called the heart of mezcal production in Oaxaca. Crafted by the Cortés family, it reflects generations of mezcal tradition, therefore offering an authentic and classic style.

This mezcal is made from 100% Espadín agave. The agave is cooked in underground pit ovens, crushed traditionally, and distilled in copper pot stills. These methods preserve the natural agave character and highlight the village identity. On the nose, aromas of cooked agave lead. Notes of earth, roasted tones, and light smoke follow. Subtle hints of herbs and minerality add depth.

On the palate, the mezcal is full and well balanced. Sweet agave flavours appear first, supported by earthy notes and gentle smoke. Soft spice and herbal tones develop gradually.
