San Cosme is a handcrafted joven mezcal made from 100 percent Espadín agave in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico. The agave is cooked underground for three days using mesquite wood, giving it a distinct smoky profile. After cooking, the agave is crushed using a traditional stone tahona and fermented in open wooden vats. The liquid is then double distilled in copper pot stills, resulting in a crystal clear spirit at 40 percent ABV.

On the nose, you’ll notice warm roasted agave, hints of caramel, leather, and light smoke. These aromas are inviting yet complex. The flavor begins with a smooth sweetness from the agave, followed by soft smoke, flinty pepper, and a subtle meaty richness. It finishes long and warm, with notes of cracked black pepper and spice lingering on the tongue.
