This mezcal is produces from the Espadin agave and made in a distillery located in Oaxaca. The agave are harvested after 7 years of growth and the agave hearts will then be baked in earth pits for five to eight days.
The final result is a nose that has a typical spicy and smoky Oaxaca aroma with burnt star anise, mineral salt, white pepper, ginger, herbal tones of rosemary and wood.
The palate that it reveals is a very dominant smoke with notes of paprika, green banana, salt, white pepper and herbal notes.
It ends with a long finish with notes of smoke and rosemary.
